It has a steering wheel, and plus I'm sure most people would have the common sense not to drive it when the winds are bad. It's probably programed to be able to handle a little bit of wind.

Sir you should probably understand that car design is less about the motor and more about the body so this is actually a perfect example of "design". Just because the technology to operate such a vehicle doesn't mean it is worthless to plan* for it.

*it'll never happen though so it's more like imagining. Not that that isn't good for us all.

Designs like this are far from realistic and distract people from intellectual pursuits on plausible concepts. Having something that 'looks neat' in a few pictures does nothing for society. Congratulations, you have proven that you know how to use Photoshop. The next step is to stop drawing pretty pictures and come up with an actual design.

This is not design. It is artwork. It can be appreciated as such, but the creator should not be lauded for his/her ingenuity in car design, but given acknowledgment of an ability to use 3-D rendering and then quietly ignored once everyone is bored looking at CG.

Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) make tiny mechanisms like inkjet printheads possible. Imagine shooting gasoline in a miniature jet. Now imagine an HDTV like surface with millions of miniature jets on the bottom surface of a vehicle like this. The Thrust/Weight ratio of a tiny jet is far higher than for a bigger jet. Thrust goes by area. Weight goes by volume. Make a jet 1/1000th the size of a regular jet - and your thrust/weight ratio goes up by a factor of 1000 !! Since cost goes by weight - cost goes down by a factor of 1000 as well!! Tiny jets are quiet. Tiny jets are safe. They fail and are just turned off. With millions operating at once, the system is utterly reliable - though over time, the array has to be replaced.
